Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday denied BJP exit rumours and rejected reports claiming that he planned to launch a separate political party.
Addressing the media at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad, Bandi Sanjay said he would remain committed to the BJP throughout his life.
“If you ask any committed BJP activist about their last wish, they would say they want the saffron flag draped over their mortal remains. That is my wish too,” he said.
BJP exit rumours spark political allegations
Bandi Sanjay also dismissed speculation about his alleged removal from the Union Cabinet.
He accused K. T. Rama Rao of running a misinformation campaign against him through select media organisations.
According to the Union Minister, some television channels and digital platforms circulated fabricated stories at the direction of BRS leaders.
He further alleged that political opponents became frustrated after the BJP helped end the decade-long BRS rule in Telangana.
BJP exit rumours linked to targeting claims
Bandi Sanjay claimed that some leaders tried to malign him politically through false campaigns.
Moreover, he alleged that certain political leaders wanted him arrested because he challenged the “corruption and feudal politics” of the previous BRS government.
BJP MLA Rakesh Reddy, MLC Anji Reddy and party spokesperson N. V. Subhash attended the media interaction.
