Azharuddin urges minority youth to pursue skills and higher education

Hyderabad: Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin urged minority youth to pursue higher education, develop new skills and maintain discipline to build successful careers. He said these efforts would help them pursue emerging employment opportunities across the world.

Azharuddin spoke at a Minorities Welfare Department programme at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Thursday. He said the Telangana government was prioritising minority welfare and empowerment.

The Minister said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was supporting minority welfare programmes by allocating funds. He also urged young people to make effective use of government schemes and available opportunities.

During the programme, Azharuddin distributed CM Overseas Scholarship cheques, mopeds, sewing machines and other welfare benefits to eligible beneficiaries. The department distributed sewing machines under the Indiramma Mahila Shakti scheme. Officials also handed over cheques under the Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana.

“It is heartening to see so many young people coming forward to avail themselves of government welfare schemes. These opportunities should be used effectively to build a better future,” Azharuddin said.
