Kamareddy Dasara celebrations: Shabbir Ali calls for all-party participation

Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Saturday urged leaders of all political parties and the public to participate in the Kamareddy Dasara celebrations. He said the festivities at Indira Gandhi Stadium should bring together people across political, caste and religious lines.

Shabbir Ali inspected the stadium and reviewed preparations with officials from several government departments. He directed officials to coordinate closely and ensure public safety, traffic regulation and essential facilities during the celebrations.

The Government Advisor said the festival should remain a collective public event without political or social divisions. He also appealed to families from all communities to participate.

Furthermore, he announced that organisers would send special invitations to the local MLA, former MLAs and leaders of various political parties. He said their participation would help ensure broader public involvement in the festivities.

Kamareddy Dasara celebrations: Safety arrangements reviewed

Shabbir Ali held a review meeting with officials from the municipal administration, revenue, medical and health, sports, police and fire departments. Representatives from the electricity and traffic departments also attended.

During the meeting, he instructed officials to prepare for a large public turnout at the stadium. He emphasised adequate drinking water, sanitation facilities, toilets and effective crowd management.

Additionally, Shabbir Ali directed officials to make proper arrangements for vehicle movement and pedestrian access around the venue. He stressed that traffic regulation should prevent congestion near the stadium and adjoining roads.

A special help desk was also planned at the venue to provide information and assistance to visitors. Meanwhile, he instructed medical, police and fire services personnel to remain prepared for emergencies throughout the celebrations.

He asked the departments concerned to maintain close coordination and respond promptly to any public inconvenience. The Kamareddy Dasara celebrations review also focused on basic amenities and the smooth movement of visitors.

Senior officials from various departments, political leaders, journalists and other stakeholders participated in the inspection and review programme.
