Hyderabad: AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, has announced a fresh investment to expand its manufacturing operations in Telangana. The move is expected to increase the company’s production capacity and generate additional revenue for the state.
The announcement came during a meeting at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy led the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation and met with John Blood, Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer of AB InBev.
AB InBev Telangana expansion to boost revenue and CSR partnerships
AB InBev currently operates two facilities in Telangana and employs around 600 people. The company has a global manufacturing footprint in more than 50 countries. With this latest investment, the brewer plans to deepen its presence in the state.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the expansion, calling it a boost to Telangana’s economic roadmap. “Revenue generation and capacity building are key to the state’s roadmap for becoming a $3 trillion economy by 2047,” he said.
Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu noted that Telangana continues to attract global investment due to its policy consistency and investor-friendly environment. He highlighted that the state’s focus on infrastructure and transparency builds long-term investor confidence.
During the meeting, the two sides also explored possible partnerships in circular water usage and CSR initiatives. AB InBev expressed interest in supporting women empowerment, education, and skill development programs across Telangana.
