Vivek Venkatswamy blames BRS for debt crisis, pledges pattas in Dubbaka

Hyderabad: Labour Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy blamed the previous BRS government for Telangana’s financial distress and failure to meet public needs. He addressed a campaign gathering in Dubbaka Municipality on Sunday, near the Double Bedroom Housing Complex.

He said the former regime burdened the state with ₹8 lakh crore in debt. Yet, it failed to deliver basic services to the people. Protesters from Mallanna Sagar, he said, highlighted how farmers and oustees were neglected.

Alleging betrayal, Vivek accused BRS of constructing Double Bedroom houses without issuing pattas. As a result, thousands of families remain in legal uncertainty. He criticised the local MLA for ignoring civic problems, including long-pending issues in housing colonies.

Dubbaka progress tied to Congress victory, says Vivek Venkatswamy

Vivek promised to resolve these issues within 100 days if Congress wins the municipality. He said the pattas would be issued, and local grievances addressed without delay. This, he noted, would bring long-awaited relief to residents of the colony.

He also highlighted the current government’s welfare focus. According to him, new pensions have already reached eligible citizens. That, he said, proves the Congress approach is grounded in delivery, not promises.

Unlike BRS, which showed papers to seek votes, Congress is releasing funds and executing projects. Therefore, voters must assess performance—not publicity—when choosing leaders.

He urged voters to elect Congress in all 20 wards of Dubbaka Municipality. If that happens, he said he would work to secure Revenue Division status for Dubbaka, enabling faster administration and better development.

Large numbers of party leaders, workers, and residents participated in the campaign, showing strong local support.
