Uttam predicts Congress sweep of 28 seats in Tamil Nadu

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress would secure a complete victory in Tamil Nadu, predicting a Congress sweep Tamil Nadu with all 28 seats it is contesting.

Speaking at a campaign event in Sivakasi on Wednesday, he warned voters about divisive political tactics. He said Tamil Nadu would continue to uphold secular and progressive governance. He added that the electorate would reject attempts to polarise society.

The senior AICC observer, who toured constituencies from Singanallur near Coimbatore to Kavundampalayam, reached Sivakasi and delivered a clear message. “Congress will win all 28 seats it is contesting,” he said, drawing loud cheers from party workers and alliance supporters.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress sweep Tamil Nadu prediction rested on the strength of the DMK-Congress partnership. He described the Secular Progressive Alliance as a well-coordinated structure working effectively at all levels.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said the alliance had reached grassroots voters across constituencies. Uttam Kumar Reddy urged party cadres to intensify outreach efforts in the final phase of campaigning ahead of the April 23 Assembly elections.

Calling Rahul Gandhi the future Prime Minister, he appealed for strong support to the alliance. He expressed confidence that voters would return M. K. Stalin as Chief Minister with a decisive mandate.

In Sivakasi, Uttam Kumar Reddy focused on Congress nominee G. Ashokan. Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed to voters to back the candidate and ensure a decisive victory.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress sweep Tamil Nadu effort was not merely political. He described the alliance as a people-centric force committed to welfare and development. He added that the coalition aimed to deliver inclusive governance across the state.
