Hyderabad: A massive BJP scooty rally Hyderabad took place on Wednesday as BJP Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha mobilised support for women’s empowerment and the 33 per cent reservation policy.
BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao flagged off the rally at Keshav Memorial. Soon after, hundreds of women and youth joined the procession and raised slogans backing initiatives led by Narendra Modi.
While addressing the gathering, Ramchander Rao said support for the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam had expanded nationwide. He added that the 33 per cent reservation in legislative bodies would likely take effect by the 2029 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
BJP scooty rally Hyderabad highlights women’s bill push
Looking ahead, Ramchander Rao said the special Parliament sessions from April 16 to 18 would include key discussions on the legislation. Meanwhile, he noted that women across the country were expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative.
He also pointed out that the women’s reservation issue had remained unresolved for over three decades. According to him, earlier governments failed to act due to internal pressures and lack of political will.
In contrast, he said Narendra Modi built consensus across parties to pass the legislation. As a result, he described the move as a major step toward women’s political empowerment. He added that the BJP scooty rally Hyderabad reflected this growing momentum.
BJP scooty rally Hyderabad targets Congress leadership
Turning to political criticism, Ramchander Rao targeted Revanth Reddy and the Congress alliance. He accused them of attempting to delay implementation of the bill.
Furthermore, he alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to create divisions based on religion, caste and region for political gains. He described Revanth Reddy’s recent letter to the Prime Minister on delimitation as a “malicious campaign.”
At the same time, Ramchander Rao said the letter itself indicated opposition to women’s reservation. He asserted that the BJP scooty rally Hyderabad demonstrated increasing public support for the policy.
Overall, the rally marked a large mobilisation effort in Hyderabad, with party workers projecting strong backing for the women’s reservation initiative.
