UoH Registrar Devesh Nigam receives Educational Excellence Pioneer Award

Hyderabad: University of Hyderabad Registrar Dr. Devesh Nigam received the Devesh Nigam award recognition in the form of the Educational Excellence Pioneer Award – 2026 at the Hyderabad Education Conclave 2026 for his contributions to higher education administration and institutional governance.

The award was presented during the conclave held at The Park Hyderabad. Organisers recognised Dr. Nigam for his work in strengthening administrative systems, advancing institutional reforms and promoting student-centric governance practices in higher education.

Organised by Plus Nineone Media under the theme “Uniting School & Higher Education Leaders”, the conclave brought together policymakers, vice-chancellors, principals and academic administrators from across India. Participants discussed key issues shaping the future of the education sector.

As Registrar of the University of Hyderabad, an Institution of Eminence, Dr. Nigam played a key role in enhancing governance mechanisms, encouraging academic collaborations and improving administrative efficiency across the university.

The award was presented by Plus Nineone Media Founder and CEO Sandeep Gulati and Co-Founder Ashutosh Dubey. The recognition highlighted Dr. Nigam’s efforts in advancing institutional excellence and supporting effective academic administration.

The conclave also featured discussions on artificial intelligence in education, collaboration between schools and higher education institutions, employability-focused learning under the National Education Policy and broader policy reforms. Furthermore, education leaders exchanged views on emerging challenges and opportunities in the sector.

Prominent speakers included Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, Ministry of Education, Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council for Higher Education, and A. Sridevasena, Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education, Telangana government.
