TGNPDCL employees fund monthly aid for 27 welfare institutions

Hyderabad: The TGNPDCL Charitable Trust is providing monthly financial assistance to 27 welfare institutions supporting orphaned children, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, single women and poor students across Telangana. The initiative is funded through voluntary contributions from TGNPDCL employees.

Employees contribute at least ₹50 every month from their salaries, while many donate higher amounts. TGNPDCL formed the trust with the support of its employee unions, associations and staff members.

TGNPDCL Charitable Trust supports 27 institutions

The trust provides ₹20,000 every month to each of the 27 service organisations functioning across 18 TGNPDCL circles. Employee contributions generate around ₹5.40 lakh every month for the initiative.

The beneficiary organisations run orphanages, old-age homes and centres for persons with disabilities. They also support poor students, promote women’s welfare and rehabilitate people with intellectual disabilities.

The financial assistance reaches institutions in Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Warangal, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial and Nirmal.

TGNPDCL said the initiative reflects its commitment to social responsibility alongside providing reliable power supply. The trust also plans to expand its social welfare activities in the future.
