Telangana schools to reopen on June 15, government revises schedule

Hyderabad: The government has postponed Telangana schools reopening from June 12 to June 15 after receiving representations on the academic calendar for 2026-27.

The School Education Department issued fresh orders on Saturday.

Government and private schools will now reopen on June 15 after the summer vacation.

Telangana schools reopening revised due to consecutive holidays

Officials noted that June 13 falls on the second Saturday.

June 14 is a Sunday.

Therefore, the government decided to reopen schools on June 15 instead of June 12.

To make up for the lost academic time, the department declared July 11 a regular working day.

July 11 is the second Saturday of the month.

Director of School Education Naveen Nicolas issued the orders.

He directed officials to inform all schools about the revised schedule.

The instructions apply to government and private schools under the School Education Department across Telangana.
