Hyderabad: With rising concerns in India’s border regions, the Telangana Government has sprung into action to aid citizens caught in the turmoil. Under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s directives, Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi has transformed into a central hub for rescue coordination and welfare support.
A dedicated control room has been made operational around the clock to field distress calls and organise relief. Officials report that approximately 30 such calls have already come in. Each is being handled on a priority basis.
Telangana Bhawan has also begun offering free meals to residents returning from bordering states. For those without immediate accommodation, free lodging is being provided within the premises. In cases where in-house capacity falls short, alternative arrangements are being made externally.
To address urgent medical needs, a health camp has been set up at the Bhawan, staffed and ready for check-ups and basic care. Transportation assistance is also being coordinated from Telangana Bhawan to major travel hubs—airports and railway stations—ensuring citizens can safely continue their journey home.
Coordination efforts aren’t stopping at Delhi. The Bhawan is in active touch with district administrations in border areas from where distress calls are surfacing. With their help, Telangana citizens are being safely moved out of sensitive zones. Parallelly, officials are keeping close contact with the Union Government to stay updated on safety protocols and developments on the ground.
So far, eight individuals from Jammu & Kashmir have made it to Telangana Bhawan safely. They are currently being cared for, with plans underway for their secure return to their hometowns.
In a midnight inspection, the Resident Commissioner personally reviewed the operations and preparedness, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to leaving no citizen behind.
The government has reiterated its stance that the safety of every Telangana resident remains its highest priority as the situation continues to evolve.
