Telangana Govt to launches ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’ scheme to provide loans for self-employment

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government, headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, is set to launch a new welfare initiative, ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam,’ aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed youth for self-employment. Under this scheme, loans ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh will be offered.

The initiative will be implemented in coordination with welfare departments, including SC, ST, BC, and Minority Corporations. The government has announced that applications for these loans must be submitted by April 5.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has stated that the government is investing Rs 6,000 crore in the scheme, which is expected to benefit at least five lakh people across the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will formally launch the application process for the scheme today.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar reviewed the implementation of the scheme on Sunday. They discussed the guidelines and objectives, emphasizing that the scheme aims to generate large-scale employment opportunities for the youth. They highlighted that this initiative would serve as a golden opportunity for unemployed individuals from SC, ST, BC, and Minority communities.

The review meeting was attended by SC Corporation Chairman Preetham, ST Corporation Chairman Bellayya Naik, Minority Corporation Chairman Obaidullah Kotwal, and other officials.
