Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated the Telangana BJP alliance victory following results in five-state elections, citing wins in Assam, West Bengal, and Puducherry.
Party leaders and workers gathered at the BJP State Office in Hyderabad on Monday. The celebrations took place under the leadership of State President N. Ramchander Rao.
Workers distributed sweets, burst crackers, and raised slogans in support of Narendra Modi. The event reflected a festive atmosphere at the party office.
Prominent leaders attended the programme, including K. Laxman, Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, Anji Reddy, Kasam Venkateshwarlu, and N. V. Subhash.
Telangana BJP alliance victory boosts party confidence
Earlier, several medical professionals joined the BJP under its Doctors’ Cell. Ramchander Rao welcomed them by draping party shawls and termed the move a boost to the party’s professional outreach.
Later, addressing the media, he said the induction of minority members from Kukatpally reflected weakening misinformation about the party. He asserted that the BJP was not against any religion or community.
Ramchander Rao emphasised the Prime Minister’s principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.” He said the party remained committed to inclusive welfare.
Telangana BJP alliance victory sparks political criticism
Ramchander Rao criticised Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. He alleged that they created obstacles to maintain political dominance and hinder women’s empowerment.
However, he said women across India had expressed confidence in Modi through recent election outcomes. He added that the results showed rejection of what he termed divisive politics of the opposition INDI alliance.
Ramchander Rao said people of Telangana were observing political developments closely. He added that they would respond in upcoming elections.
Ramchander Rao also called upon citizens to attend Modi’s public meeting on May 10 at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. He said the visit would mark the Prime Minister’s first trip to Hyderabad after assuming office for a third term.
