Hyderabad: The voter mapping process under the Special Intensive Revision programme came under review in Malakpet after Telangana Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vaasam Venkateshwar Reddy flagged slow progress in the constituency on Thursday.
The review meeting took place at Singireddy Srinivas Reddy Community Hall in Malakpet. Electoral Registration Officer M. Manga Tayaru, seven Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, BLO supervisors, and Booth Level Officers attended the meeting.
During the review, the Additional CEO instructed officials to link all eligible voters from the 2025 electoral rolls with the 2002 voter list. He said the exercise was progressing slowly in urban constituencies.

Venkateshwar Reddy directed BLOs to visit houses and collect voter details to complete the mapping work within one week. Meanwhile, he also asked officials to seek support from Booth Level Agents representing different political parties.
The Additional CEO appealed to voters to cooperate with officials and complete the SIR exercise.
He said the mapping exercise in Malakpet Assembly constituency reached only 29.17 per cent so far. Therefore, he instructed AEROs to speed up the exercise in the constituency.
The Electoral Registration Officer, the deputy commissioner, the Saidabad tahsildar, the assistant municipal commissioners, the assistant BLO supervisors, and several Booth Level Officers attended the meeting.
