T-Fiber selected for national SKOCH Award

Hyderabad: Telangana’s flagship digital connectivity initiative T-Fiber has secured selection for the prestigious SKOCH Award, one of the country’s leading independent recognitions for governance and development initiatives.

The SKOCH organisation informed Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Limited Managing Director Venu Prasad Panneeru about the selection through an official communication.

According to the organisation, T-Fiber successfully completed all stages of the evaluation process.

The recognition highlights the project’s contribution to expanding digital connectivity and strengthening internet infrastructure across Telangana.

The project earned recognition for extending broadband connectivity to rural areas and improving access to government services.

Officials said T-Fiber played a key role in strengthening Telangana’s digital infrastructure.

The award presentation ceremony is scheduled for June 20 at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, organisers will conduct the event during the 108th SKOCH Summit on the theme “Regulatory Framework for Viksit Bharat”.

In addition, the summit will recognise government institutions, public sector organisations and development initiatives from across the country.

Industry observers regard the SKOCH Award as a prominent independent recognition for excellence in governance and development.

Furthermore, officials described the selection of T-Fiber as another national recognition for Telangana’s digital infrastructure initiatives.

The project aims to provide high-speed internet connectivity to villages, towns, government offices, educational institutions and healthcare facilities.

Moreover, officials said T-Fiber ranks among the country’s largest broadband connectivity programmes.

They added that the initiative continues to support the state’s vision of building a digitally connected Telangana.

Officials also credited the support extended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Information Technology Minister D. Sridhar Babu for the project’s progress.
