Malkajgiri Police book 46 cases during spa centre enforcement drive

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Police registered 46 cases during a spa centre enforcement drive conducted across the commissionerate to check illegal operations and regulatory violations.

Police teams inspected 113 spa centres as part of the special drive.

Officials said the inspections targeted establishments operating without required permissions and those violating prescribed norms.

Spa centre enforcement drive uncovers multiple violations

During the inspections, police identified several violations, including hidden rooms without transparent doors.

They also found instances where operators failed to collect customer identity proofs.

In addition, officials detected inadequate record maintenance and non-compliance with licensing requirements.

Police registered cases under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and other applicable laws.

Meanwhile, authorities warned property owners against permitting illegal activities on their premises.

They also announced that enforcement teams would continue inspections across the commissionerate.

Police urged citizens to report suspicious establishments and illegal operations to the nearest police station.

Officials said the drive formed part of ongoing efforts to ensure lawful business practices and public safety.
