Hyderabad: Telangana Media Academy chairman K. Srinivas Reddy said on Saturday that artificial intelligence (AI) skills would soon be essential for aspiring journalists.
Addressing the national conference on “Future of Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” Reddy urged reporters to continuously update their skills. He warned that those who fail to adapt may struggle in an industry rapidly shaped by new technologies.
He stressed that AI should be used responsibly and under proper supervision. Drawing a comparison with the Press Council of India’s oversight of print media, he suggested similar controls for digital platforms and social media to maintain journalistic ethics.
