Hyderabad: SIR digitisation remains slow in Hyderabad despite significant progress in the distribution of Enumeration Forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026. Authorities have distributed 95.08% of the forms in the city. However, they have digitised only 4.46% of them.
Across Telangana, officials have distributed 98.70% of Enumeration Forms. Meanwhile, digitisation has reached only 15.71%.
The focus has now shifted from distribution to collecting completed forms and uploading them into the Election Commission’s system. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) must verify every completed form before entering the data.
Many voters continue to face difficulties while filling Enumeration Forms because of limited awareness about the process. Therefore, both government agencies and political parties have expanded assistance to help voters complete the exercise correctly.

SIR digitisation slows as voter assistance expands
The Telangana government has opened SIR help centres at 16 locations across Hyderabad. Further, the centres assist voters in filling Enumeration Forms correctly. They also help resolve registration-related queries.
Officials said the centres guide citizens at every stage of the process. Additionally, they help voters avoid mistakes while submitting their forms.
Political parties have also established help centres to support voters. Meanwhile, party leaders and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) are assisting citizens with form filling, document verification and election-related queries.
AIMIM has established SIR help centres at its Darussalam headquarters and several other locations in Hyderabad and Telangana districts. According to the party, many residents approached the centres after receiving Enumeration Forms from BLOs. Further, AIMIM said its volunteers are providing free guidance to help eligible voters complete the forms accurately.
The party appealed to the public to visit the nearest SIR help centre for assistance with Enumeration Forms and related documentation.
Finally, the Election Commission will publish the draft electoral rolls on July 31 after completing the distribution, collection and digitisation of Enumeration Forms. Voters can file claims and objections until August 30. Authorities will dispose of those claims by September 28. The final electoral rolls will be published on October 1.
