Bhatti orders resumption of Singareni medical board services

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday directed Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to immediately resume Singareni medical board services.

He said the move would address workers’ concerns and strengthen welfare measures.

The Deputy Chief Minister instructed SCCL management to conduct the Singareni medical board selection process with transparency, impartiality and accountability.

He also stressed that officials must prevent controversies and ensure benefits reach only eligible workers.

Singareni medical board process to be transparent

Bhatti Vikramarka recalled that public representatives had raised concerns about the suspended medical board during a recent review meeting on Singareni’s development.

Accordingly, he said the government had acted quickly to protect workers’ interests.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to streamline the Singareni medical board process.

Furthermore, he instructed them to ensure benefits reached genuine employees without delay.

He said the system should safeguard compassionate appointments and dependent jobs for eligible family members.

In addition, Bhatti Vikramarka ordered SCCL officials to establish a foolproof mechanism to eliminate middlemen, corruption, irregularities and fraudulent practices.

He also appealed to workers to maintain confidence in the administration and cooperate with the management.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister announced that 335 legal heirs had qualified for compassionate and dependent appointments.

They will receive appointment letters at a special programme in Mancherial on June 13.

He therefore directed SCCL management to make all necessary arrangements for the event.

Bhatti Vikramarka also addressed the long-pending issue of “Maruperlu” or alias names.

He said the government was examining the matter.

Additionally, it is seeking expert legal advice to identify a permanent and lawful solution within existing regulations.
