Telangana to hold Saraswati Pushkaralu at Kaleshwaram from May 21

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will organise the Saraswati Pushkaralu Kaleshwaram celebrations from May 21 to June 1 at the famous pilgrimage centre in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha invited Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to participate in the Pushkaralu celebrations at Praja Bhavan.

Endowments Department Director M. Hanumantha Rao and senior officials accompanied the minister during the invitation programme.

Vedic scholars also blessed the Deputy Chief Minister with Vedic chants on the occasion.

Saraswati Pushkaralu Kaleshwaram to begin with holy dip

Konda Surekha informed the Deputy Chief Minister that the Saraswati Pushkaralu would continue for 12 days at Kaleshwaram.

She said the celebrations would begin with the first holy dip at 5.43 am on May 21.

The minister also said Kanchi Peethadhipathi Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamy would perform the first Pushkar snanam.

Additionally, authorities will organise Ganga Harathi every day at the Triveni Sangamam during the Pushkaralu period.

Konda Surekha said the state government was making elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth facilities for devotees attending the Pushkaralu.

Officials are coordinating preparations to avoid inconvenience to pilgrims visiting the holy site during the festival period.
