Hyderabad: Vigilance officials reported lapses at the Sangareddy sub registrar office after an inspection under the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) Area focus.
Teams from the Vigilance and Enforcement wing inspected the office under the RC Puram unit on April 24. Moreover, they identified procedural violations and administrative lapses during the review.
Sangareddy sub registrar’s office faces scrutiny
Officials found that registrations were approved without valid building permissions and layout copies. In addition, they noted that 283 documents had been pending since 2023.
They observed that staff issued documents without obtaining the required signatures. Moreover, officers failed to scrutinise documents on a daily basis.
The inspection revealed involvement of private persons in document processing. Therefore, officials flagged serious concerns over unauthorised participation.
They also found that CCTV cameras and biometric systems were not functioning. In addition, they reported negligence in maintenance at the office.
Authorities said further action would follow based on the findings. Moreover, they urged citizens to report irregularities through the helpline 14432.
