Sangareddy administration ready for local body elections on October 23: Collector Pravinya

Hyderabad: District Collector Pravinya announced that the Sangareddy administration is fully ready to conduct local body elections on October 23. She said officials completed all arrangements to ensure a smooth and transparent polling process.

The first phase of polling will cover 12 ZPTC and 129 MPTC constituencies. Pravinya said officials in Zaheerabad, Mogudampally, Nyalkal, Kohir, Jharasangam, Manoor, Nagaligidda, Kalher, Sirgapur, Narayankhed, Nizampet, and Kangti mandals finished all election preparations.

According to the schedule, officials will accept nominations from October 9 to 11. They will conduct scrutiny on October 12, and allow withdrawal of nominations until October 15. Therefore, the administration expects polling to proceed as planned without disruption.

Counting of votes scheduled for November 11

Pravinya said polling would take place on October 23, and officials would begin counting votes on November 11. She stressed that the district administration would maintain fairness and transparency throughout the process.

Moreover, she directed election staff to follow the Model Code of Conduct strictly. In addition, she instructed police and revenue teams to coordinate closely for security and logistics. The Collector said she would personally monitor the process to ensure peaceful and efficient elections.
