School bus fire at AOC Centre, students escape unhurt

Hyderabad: Panic gripped the AOC Centre area in Secunderabad on Thursday morning when a Delhi Public School bus caught fire. Thick smoke billowed from the vehicle’s rear, forcing the driver to halt and move the students out immediately. His quick action saved every child.

Local residents informed the fire department without delay. Firefighters and Army personnel rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control after a brief struggle. Their swift response stopped the fire from spreading to nearby vehicles.

Cause of school bus fire AOC Centre under investigation

Officials said no student or staff member suffered injuries. Police appreciated the driver for his alertness. Investigators are checking whether an electrical fault triggered the fire.

The blaze caused a traffic jam near the AOC Centre main road. Tirumalagiri Traffic CI Sardar Naik reached the scene with his team and cleared the route with help from Army jawans. Tirumalagiri police registered a case and began an investigation.
