Hyderabad: The Telangana Agriculture Department and Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTSAU) will telecast the 100th episode of Rythu Nestham on July 28. Agriculture Director B. Gopi, IAS, urged farmers across the State to participate and receive scientific guidance from agricultural experts.
The Agriculture Department and PJTSAU jointly organise the programme. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao launched the initiative, which has served farmers across Telangana for the past two and a half years.
The programme connects Rythu Vedikas with agricultural scientists through video conferencing. As a result, farmers receive expert guidance on crop cultivation, weather conditions, pest management, nutrient management, alternative crops and modern farming technologies.
Meanwhile, B. Gopi said Rythu Nestham has become an effective platform for delivering scientific and technical information directly to farmers. Moreover, he said lakhs of farmers have benefited from expert advice and adopted scientific farming practices through the programme.
Rythu Nestham to reach 100th episode
The Agriculture Department will telecast the 100th episode live at Rythu Vedikas across Telangana. Therefore, B. Gopi appealed to farmers to attend the programme at their nearest Rythu Vedika and make use of the guidance provided by agricultural scientists.
In addition, he said the programme continues to support farmers by providing timely scientific recommendations on key agricultural issues. Meanwhile, the department expects wide participation from farmers during the milestone 100th episode.
