Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre said Heavy rains Telangana are likely to continue till August 3 after the cyclonic circulation over the northwest Bay of Bengal strengthened. The weather system, located near the West Bengal-North Odisha coast, was moving northwards at a speed of 3 kmph.
The weather office said light to moderate rainfall is expected in several districts across the state during the period. It forecast heavy rainfall, particularly in north and north-east Telangana districts, while Hyderabad is likely to receive light to moderate showers.
In view of the forecast, the police advised IT companies to allow employees to leave offices early to avoid inconvenience during periods of heavy rainfall and traffic disruption.

Scattered rainfall was reported on Monday in Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad and Warangal districts.
For Tuesday, the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre forecast heavy rain in Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts. Officials advised residents to monitor weather updates and take necessary precautions in areas that may receive intense rainfall.
