Rayadurgam land fetches record ₹3.4 lakh per square yard in TGIIC auction

Hyderabad: The Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) on Tuesday set a new land price benchmark by auctioning a one-acre plot in Rayadurgam for ₹3.4 lakh per square yard. The plot is located in Hyderabad’s Knowledge City, one of the city’s most prominent business corridors.

This price significantly exceeds the previous record of ₹88,000 per square yard, achieved in a government auction in 2017. The deal reflects strong investor confidence and intense demand for high-value commercial land in central Hyderabad.

Developers chase prime commercial inventory

TGIIC Vice Chairman and Managing Director K. Shashanka explained that the land was earmarked for boutique multi-use development. He added that developers are making strategic, high-premium investments to secure rare inventory in zones offering maximum growth potential.

“This successful auction shows the maturity and depth of Hyderabad’s economic growth. Developers are willing to invest at a premium to gain a foothold in the city’s most elastic and high-yielding corridor,” he said.

Policy support and transparent governance boost investor sentiment

Officials attributed the strong auction result to the transparent governance model adopted by the state. They praised the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu for creating an investor-friendly climate.

The record-setting sale further strengthens Hyderabad’s image as India’s most attractive urban investment hub, blending infrastructure development with consistent economic policy.
