Hyderabad: TPCC senior leader Ramya Rao on Monday accused the BRS leadership of politicising the 22A land issue and questioned K.T. Rama Rao over allegations concerning land holdings and assets. Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, she also alleged large-scale corruption during the previous K. Chandrashekar Rao government’s 10-year tenure.
Ramya Rao challenged the BRS working president to substantiate allegations he had made concerning land holdings. Claiming that she was a niece of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, she also raised questions about properties allegedly accumulated by Santosh Rao.
Ramya Rao questions KTR over the source and disclosure of properties she alleged were linked to Santosh Rao and his family. She alleged that Santosh Rao and his family had acquired several plots in Kudurupaka village.
However, she questioned what she described as differences between properties allegedly acquired and those disclosed in an election affidavit. Ramya Rao questions KTR about properties she alleged were connected to Santosh Rao in several locations.
She referred to alleged holdings in Markook, Banjara Hills, Kondapur and Nanakramguda. The Congress leader sought explanations about the source of the properties and the transactions she alleged involved Santosh Rao and his family.
She also questioned Santosh Rao’s proximity to the KCR family. In addition, Ramya Rao alleged that his assets had increased substantially over the years.
She demanded that KTR explain how the properties she cited had been acquired. Her remarks remained allegations made at the press conference, and the source did not provide a response from KTR, Santosh Rao or the BRS.

Ramya Rao also linked her criticism to the continuing political debate over the 22A land classification issue. She accused the BRS leadership of politicising the matter. At the same time, she alleged that corruption had taken place on a large scale during the previous BRS government’s decade in office.
Ramya Rao questions KTR both about his claims concerning land holdings and about the assets she attributed to Santosh Rao and his family. She called on the BRS working president to provide explanations about the alleged transactions and property disclosures.
The TPCC leader also sought clarity on what she described as discrepancies involving properties in Kudurupaka and information contained in an election affidavit. Her allegations extended to properties she cited in Markook, Banjara Hills, Kondapur and Nanakramguda.
