Hyderabad: Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday evening to review the Telangana political situation alongside top state Congress leaders.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and several ministers received him at Shamshabad airport. During the drive to Falaknuma Palace, the CM and TPCC chief briefed Gandhi on recent developments, including the Congress victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election and the first phase of Gram Panchayat polls.
According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance and praised the party’s organisational strength in the state.
Gandhi, Messi meet at Falaknuma Palace
Later in the evening, Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy met international football icon Lionel Messi at Falaknuma Palace. The sports star is currently in Hyderabad ahead of an event at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
