Medak MP Raghunandan Rao seeks probes into Mokilla villa project, Santosh Rao assets

Hyderabad: Medak MP Raghunandan Rao on Wednesday reacted to the latest developments within the BRS, saying there was nothing new in MLC K Kavitha’s statements.

MP recalls past injustice to Dubbak

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Rao said he had repeatedly highlighted the injustice done to Dubbak constituency, particularly due to Harish Rao. He also reminded that he had already informed BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao about the reasons for his defeat in the party. “Even earlier, I had mentioned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Harish Rao once travelled on the same flight. So, nothing Kavitha is saying now is new,” he remarked.

Raghunandan demands probe into villa project

Rao demanded a government inquiry into the ongoing villa project at Mokilla. He also urged the Congress government to order an ACB investigation against Pochampally Srinivas Reddy and Naveen Rao. Referring to former Narsingi Task Force DCP Sandeep Rao, he alleged that many irregularities took place during his tenure, often linked to Santosh Rao, who used him for settlements.

The MP questioned why Sandeep Rao had not been named in the case. He accused Kavitha of hesitation, saying she appeared unsure whether to stay with the party or leave. “Why did she not raise her voice against MLCs while being in the party?” he asked.

Call for inquiry into Santosh Rao’s assets

Rao further said land conversion issues around Hyderabad’s outskirts must be probed. He criticised the Revanth Reddy government for wasting two years without meaningful progress in the Kaleshwaram inquiry. He demanded a detailed investigation into how Santosh Rao accumulated wealth.

Clarifying his own political position, the MP said, “I did not win Medak with anyone’s mercy or favour. My victory is one hundred percent genuine.”
