Yadadri Bhuvanagiri handloom exhibition to showcase regional crafts in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Yadadri Bhuvanagiri handloom exhibition will bring the district’s textile heritage, traditional crafts and local cuisine to Hyderabad through a three-day event at the HITEX Exhibition Centre.

The exhibition will take place from June 5 to June 7. It aims to connect urban consumers with rural artisans and weavers from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.

Visitors can explore more than 100 stalls featuring handloom fabrics, sarees, garments, handicrafts and regional food products.

Moreover, the event will allow visitors to purchase products directly from weavers and craft makers.

They can also watch live demonstrations of traditional weaving techniques and the intricate tie-and-dye process.

Organisers said the event is more than a retail exhibition. Instead, it will serve as a cultural platform showcasing the district’s traditions and craftsmanship.

Additionally, the exhibition will introduce visitors to tourism opportunities across Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.

Officials plan to promote experiential travel routes and weekend tourism in the region.

Meanwhile, visitors can learn about destinations such as Pochampally, which is located about two hours from Hyderabad.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors throughout the three-day programme.
