Hyderabad: Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar called for an error-free Voter list revision process in Telangana. He urged Congress workers to ensure that no eligible voter is left out during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
Speaking to the media on Monday, the minister said the voter revision exercise was crucial for strengthening democracy. He asked Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to coordinate closely with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) throughout the verification process.
Voter list revision gains focus in Telangana
Ponnam Prabhakar said enumeration forms had already reached households across the state. He directed party workers to verify every eligible voter and prevent omissions during the revision process.
The minister said he had personally toured seven mandals to review the exercise. He added that the Congress had also trained its cadre to assist in the verification process.
Ponnam said Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka had recently reviewed the SIR exercise with Congress leaders from the Hyderabad and Secunderabad parliamentary constituencies. He expressed confidence that the voter list revision process would conclude successfully.
