Later, Ramchander Rao accused the Congress and BRS of playing politics over the Kaleshwaram project. He alleged that the state government had ignored warnings issued by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) on the project’s safety.
The BJP leader claimed that repair works had still not begun. He alleged that the previous BRS government had treated the Kaleshwaram project as an “ATM”. He also questioned why Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had remained silent on the alleged corruption.
Ramchander Rao accused the Congress government of taking only symbolic action against those responsible. He further alleged that the Congress and BRS were jointly misleading the public on the issue.
