Ponguleti urges Congress cadre to secure victory in Telangana graduates’ MLC polls

Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy urged Congress workers to secure a decisive victory for party candidate Sarvottam Reddy in the upcoming Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda graduates MLC election. He made the appeal at a preparatory meeting held in the district.

Ponguleti said the Congress government had taken steps to create employment opportunities for unemployed youth since assuming office. He stated that the government had provided 70,000 jobs so far. Furthermore, he said officials would soon issue notifications for additional recruitment.

He described the Congress government as committed to addressing the problems of unemployed youth. Therefore, he asked party leaders and workers to explain the government’s initiatives to every voter ahead of the graduates MLC election. He said the campaign should focus on employment and measures taken to support job seekers.

Graduates MLC election campaign highlights employee welfare measures

Ponguleti said the government had continued employee welfare measures despite facing financial pressure. He also announced that the state had paid ₹9,000 crore in pending dues to retired employees.

He urged Congress workers to explain the government’s decisions on recruitment and employee welfare to graduates. According to him, these issues should form a key part of the party’s outreach ahead of the election.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao attended the meeting. Ponguleti also participated alongside Sathupalli MLA Matta Ragamayi and Yellandu MLA Kanakaiah.

Other attendees included Warehousing Corporation chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao, Library Corporation chairman Khader Baba, and several Congress leaders and workers. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming graduates MLC election and efforts to mobilise voter support for Sarvottam Reddy.
