Hyderabad: Patancheru police arrested two men while they were allegedly transporting 2.8 kg of dry ganja near Isnapur village in Sangareddy district.
The police seized the contraband along with a Bullet motorcycle and two mobile phones. They estimated the value of the seized ganja at around ₹1.50 lakh.
Police conducted vehicle checks near the Royal Oak furniture shop along NH-65 on September 8. The checks began around 6 pm following credible information about the movement of ganja.

SI P. Vidyacharan Reddy led the checking operation with his staff. During the checks, officers stopped two men travelling on a Bullet motorcycle with the dry ganja.
Police identified the accused as Kurupudi Ganapathi, 33, from Mamidipalli village in Kandi mandal, and Gollagudemki Chinnasaibu Mallesham, 32.
During questioning, police said Ganapathi admitted that he had obtained the ganja from Odisha at a lower price. He allegedly planned to sell it at a higher price and make a profit.
According to the police, Ganapathi and his relative Varun brought the dry ganja from Odisha. He later travelled with his friend Mallesham to sell it near the Maheshwaram college road area.
The police arrested both men during the operation near Isnapur. They registered a case against the accused and sent them to judicial remand, CI Ravinder said.
