Hyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday met Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to demand immediate action on recent internet outages in the city. Malakpet MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala also joined the meeting.
Owaisi urges swift response to internet outages
Owaisi said the disruptions were causing serious inconvenience to students, professionals, and businesses. He stressed that in a city like Hyderabad known as a major tech hub restoration of internet services must be a top priority.
He urged the Deputy CM to coordinate with all concerned departments and telecom operators. He said quick identification and rectification of the issue were essential to prevent further inconvenience.

Responding to the concerns, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka assured the AIMIM delegation that the state would act without delay. He acknowledged the importance of stable internet connectivity, particularly in Hyderabad, where lakhs of residents rely on it for education, remote work, and essential services.
Meanwhile, many parts of Hyderabad have experienced frequent internet disruptions in recent days. Affected citizens voiced frustration on social media, highlighting how the outages disrupted online classes, work-from-home schedules, and digital payments. Small businesses and IT firms reported financial losses as a result.
With the state government stepping in following AIMIM’s appeal, residents are hopeful that normal service will resume soon.
