Hyderabad: An Outer Ring Road crash claimed the lives of two youngsters after their car rammed a stationary lorry near the Neopolis exit on Wednesday morning. The deceased were identified as Pranathi Reddy, 20, and Katravath Surender, 19, both residents of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
According to the available information, the two were travelling by car from their college towards Kollur via Gandipet. Their vehicle collided with the rear of a stationary lorry near the Neopolis exit on the Outer Ring Road. Both Pranathi Reddy and Surender died on the spot due to the impact of the collision.
Outer Ring Road crash raises safety concerns
The ORR crash has renewed concerns over vehicles being parked on the expressway. Motorists alleged that stationary lorries on the Outer Ring Road had contributed to a series of accidents in recent months. They also claimed that the government had failed to implement adequate measures to prevent such incidents.
