Hyderabad: A Kushaiguda jewellery theft case came to light after two unidentified women allegedly robbed an elderly woman of gold ornaments and her phone. The incident occurred within the Kushaiguda police station limits.
Domatti Anasuya, 68, works as a vegetable trader in Sainagar. She had reportedly met one of the women at the Kushaiguda market around two months ago.
The woman occasionally visited Anasuya’s house, according to the complaint. On the morning of the 3rd of this month, she arrived with another woman, carrying chicken and alcohol.
The women reportedly told Anasuya that they were hungry and asked her to cook rice. Later that afternoon, both women allegedly made her consume alcohol.
After Anasuya lost consciousness, the two women allegedly took her purse and valuables. They reportedly stole her handcuffs, gold chain and mobile phone from the purse.
Anasuya later approached the Kushaiguda police and filed a complaint. She told police that around 2 tolas of gold were missing following the incident.

Police registered the complaint and began investigating the alleged theft. Meanwhile, officials were working to identify the two unidentified women involved in the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged robbery remained under investigation. Police were also examining the complaint and the details provided by the victim.
