Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday claimed the party was set for a strong comeback in Karimnagar district. He urged party leaders to intensify their campaign against the Congress government.
KTR addressed MLAs and former MLAs from the undivided Karimnagar district at the Hyderabad residence of former minister and Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar. He reviewed organisational activities and discussed current political developments.
He said Karimnagar had remained a BRS stronghold. He also alleged that the Congress won some Assembly seats through misleading election promises.
KTR Karimnagar meeting reviews party organisation
KTR said people were once again looking towards former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the BRS. He attributed the shift to what he described as two-and-a-half years of Congress misrule. He also claimed that the party’s internal survey predicted a strong BRS performance in Karimnagar whenever elections are held.
During the meeting, KTR reviewed constituency-wise reports from MLAs and former legislators. He also assessed the party’s membership drive and Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activities. Furthermore, he asked leaders to strengthen the organisation at the booth level. He urged them to hold regular meetings with grassroots workers.
KTR Karimnagar meeting targets Congress, BJP
KTR urged party leaders to highlight the Congress government’s alleged corruption and anti-farmer policies. He also alleged that the Congress and the BJP were acting together against Singareni. Therefore, he asked party leaders to take those allegations directly to workers and the public.
Referring to the Kaleshwaram project, KTR claimed it continued to hold sufficient water despite below-normal rainfall. He also alleged that the Congress government had failed to lift and supply water to farmers’ nurseries.
Moreover, KTR asked party leaders to expose alleged corruption by Congress leaders at the local level. Finally, he urged BRS leaders to use social media more effectively. He said stronger digital outreach would help the party connect with more people.
