Konda Surekha invites Governor to Lashkar Bonalu celebrations

Hyderabad: Minister for Environment, Forests and Endowments Konda Surekha invited Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to attend the upcoming Lashkar Bonalu celebrations in Secunderabad during a meeting at Lok Bhavan on Thursday.

Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao accompanied the Minister during the meeting. She formally invited the Governor to participate in the Ashada Jatara, popularly known as the Lashkar Bonalu celebrations.

Earlier in the day, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla released the book Footprints in the Forests – Memoirs of a Forester, written by former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Telangana, Paresh Kumar Sharma.

Speaking at the event, the Governor stressed the importance of conserving forests and protecting biodiversity. He called for sustained efforts to preserve the country’s natural heritage for future generations.

Supriya Bhale Rao of SRAS Publications, Dr. Manoranjan Bhanja (Retd.) and psychologist and counsellor Neha Vyas attended the book release ceremony.

Later, Visakha Sri Sharada Peethadhipathi Sri Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswati Mahaswami met the Governor at Lok Bhavan. Retired IPS officer K.C. Reddy and My Bharat Telangana State Director Anvesh also called on the Governor during the day.
