Hyderabad: A 68-member youth delegation from Telangana will attend the 29th National Youth Festival (NYF) 2026 in New Delhi from January 9 to 12. The group will represent the state’s talent and share bold ideas for nation-building.
To prepare for the event, My Bharat Telangana, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services, hosted a send-off ceremony at Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan). The programme aimed to motivate and recognise the delegates.
Telangana youth to share ideas at national level
Of the 68 delegates, 45 were selected for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 track. The remaining 23 will take part in the cultural segment. These participants will join over 3,000 young people from across India. They will present their ideas on Viksit Bharat @2047 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The festival will conclude on January 12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Governor inspires the youth
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma addressed the gathering. He encouraged the youth to confidently share their visions for the country. He stressed the importance of leadership, innovation, and civic responsibility.
Officials highlight learning opportunities
Dr. A. Sonibala Devi, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of SATG, who also serves as Commissioner of Youth Services (I/c), explained the objectives of the VBYLD programme. She said the festival would provide valuable exposure and leadership development.
Key officials join the send-off
The event was attended by several key officials. These included K. Venugopal Rao, Managing Director of SETWIN; G. Rajesh, Assistant Director, My Bharat; Khushbu Gupta, District Youth Officer, Hyderabad; and T. Isaiah, District Youth Officer, Rangareddy.
They wished the delegates success and urged them to be proud ambassadors of Telangana.
