Komatireddy stresses education as path to progress

Hyderabad: Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday said education path progress remains the only sustainable route for societal advancement.

He said the state government is expanding access to quality education under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership. Moreover, he added that major institutional investments are underway.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, laid the foundation stone for a Young India Integrated Residential School at Kondamallepally in Devarakonda constituency. The project will cost ₹200 crore.

Education path progress backed by new institutions

The Minister said the government will build integrated residential schools in every constituency. Therefore, each campus will accommodate 2,563 students.

He said these institutions will promote inclusive education beyond caste and religion. In addition, officials started foundation work for new infrastructure at a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya with an outlay of ₹80 lakh.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials and contractors to complete the Kondamallepally project within one year. He assured that authorities will release funds without delay. Meanwhile, he added that ₹20 crore has already been released for similar works in Nalgonda district.

Education path progress linked to infrastructure push

The Minister said Telangana Public Schools will upgrade to international standards. Furthermore, he noted that transport facilities will match private institutions, including doorstep pick-up and drop.

He added that the government will expand education infrastructure in phases based on demand. Meanwhile, he highlighted ongoing infrastructure works.

On road development, he said the government is taking up a four-lane road from Nalgonda to Dindi at a cost of ₹324 crore. Similarly, works worth ₹74 crore are underway in Devarakonda constituency.

The Minister added that the government has called tenders worth ₹13,000 crore for road projects across the state. Consequently, works are expected to begin in May after agreements are finalised.
