Kodandaram says he neither sought nor was offered minister post

Hyderabad: M. Kodandaram clarified that the Congress party neither promised him a minister post nor did he seek one from the government.

During an informal interaction with the media on Wednesday, Kodandaram said his party was seeking government participation and nominated positions instead of ministerial posts.

He expressed confidence that leaders from his party would receive nominated posts this time. At the same time, he criticised the previous BRS government and alleged that people lived in fear during that period.

According to Kodandaram, meeting leaders during the earlier government involved fear and caution. He also claimed the previous administration denied permission for the Amarula Spoorthi Yatra.

Kodandaram minister post remarks trigger political discussion

Kodandaram said no political party could survive if it remained disconnected from the public. He added that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was now coming out to reconnect with people.

Referring to recent comments by K. Kavitha, Kodandaram said internal family issues within the BRS were becoming public.

He further remarked that Kavitha’s statements indirectly suggested the party revolved around one family.

Kodandaram said political parties needed a different approach if they wanted votes and seats. However, he stated that his party was working with the goal of bringing change.

He also announced that his party would contest upcoming elections and begin focusing on selected constituencies in advance.

Kodandaram reiterated that his party wanted a role in governance and public administration.
