Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender alleged that family disputes, and not political reasons, were behind K. Kavitha considering a new political party.
Reacting to recent political developments, Danam Nagender criticised Kavitha for describing her father and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao as a “robot”.
He said differences within the family had led to her new political direction. At the same time, he dismissed Kavitha’s criticism that Telangana was witnessing “rakshasa palana” under the Congress government.
According to Danam Nagender, the Congress administration in Telangana was emerging as a model for the country. He also claimed welfare schemes were reaching people effectively.
Kavitha new party remarks trigger political reaction
Speaking about welfare measures, the MLA announced that the government would soon sanction 3,500 Indiramma houses for every constituency.
He said the Congress government was focusing on fulfilling the dream of housing for poor families instead of engaging only in political criticism.
Several local leaders and tahsildars also attended the programme where Danam Nagender made the remarks.
