Kavitha targets Revanth Reddy, alleges anti-Ambedkar stance

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is anti-Ambedkar and criticised the government over policies affecting weaker sections.

She paid tribute at the Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund during late-night Jayanti celebrations organised by the United Forum for SC and ST Employees. Leaders and participants attended the programme in large numbers.

Addressing the gathering, Kavitha said Ambedkar represents an ideology and not just an individual. Moreover, she urged the government to act responsibly and ensure justice for the poor.

Kavitha alleges anti-Ambedkar stance, raises land concerns

Kavitha said Ambedkar believed that society progresses only when women achieve empowerment. In addition, she stated that Article 3 of the Constitution enabled the formation of Telangana.

She alleged that governments continue to acquire assigned lands belonging to Dalits for various projects. At the same time, she cited Velugumatla and Parigi, claiming that authorities acquired large extents of assigned lands in those areas.

Kavitha also raised concerns over tribal displacement in forest regions. Furthermore, she alleged that both the central and state governments are pressuring Chenchu families to vacate their habitats in Nallamala.

She warned that authorities must stop such actions immediately. Otherwise, she said Telangana Jagruthi would launch protests in support of tribal communities.

Kavitha called for more movements inspired by Ambedkar’s ideals to address public issues in the state.
