Hyderabad Marathon traffic diversions announced for August 30

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police will impose Hyderabad Marathon traffic diversions on Sunday, August 30, from 4.30 am to 9.30 am for the Hyderabad Runners Marathon.

The marathon will start at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road and finish at GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli.

Runners will pass through Tank Bund, Khairatabad, Somajiguda and Punjagutta. The route will then cover Jubilee Hills, Road No. 45 and Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge.

Accordingly, police will regulate traffic at several major junctions along the route. Officers will adjust the diversions based on the movement of marathon participants.

Hyderabad Marathon traffic restrictions at key junctions

Police will regulate traffic at Nallagutta, VV Statue, KCP, Telangana Thalli flyover and Ambedkar Statue.

Restrictions will also cover Children’s Park, Kavadiguda X Road, Greenlands Junction and NFCL Junction. NTR Bhavan and Journalist Colony will also see traffic regulation.

Meanwhile, vehicles travelling from Cyberabad towards Road No. 45 and Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge will face restrictions.

Police will divert these vehicles towards alternative routes in Jubilee Hills, depending on marathon movements.

Commuters should avoid the marathon route during the restriction period. Instead, they should use alternative roads between 4.30 am and 9 am to avoid delays and congestion.

The Hyderabad Marathon traffic arrangements will remain in place as runners move through different stretches of the city.
