Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) booked HMDA chief engineer B. Ravinder in a disproportionate assets (DA) case. The agency alleged that he amassed assets beyond his known sources of income through corrupt practices.
The ACB conducted simultaneous searches at the officer’s residence, office and nine other locations linked to his relatives, associates and alleged benamidars on Tuesday.
During the raids, officials uncovered assets valued at ₹9.24 crore. They said the market value of the properties could be substantially higher than the official valuation.

The assets included five open plots, four residential flats, four acres of agricultural land, a semi-finished villa at Mokila and a G+4 commercial building at Kondapur.
Further, the ACB seized ₹3.82 lakh in cash and bank deposits worth ₹45.04 lakh. Officials also recovered 1.44 kg of gold ornaments, 12.5 kg of silver, household articles and electronic gadgets.
In addition, the agency seized four luxury vehicles. These included an Innova HyCross, Tata Safari, Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV.
The ACB registered the case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. It will produce Ravinder before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad for judicial remand.
Meanwhile, investigators are continuing the probe to determine whether the accused owns additional undisclosed assets.
