Harish Rao attacks Congress ‘Praja Palana’ over ambulance failures

Hyderabad: BRS senior leader and former minister T. Harish Rao attacked the Congress government’s “Praja Palana” and alleged that emergency healthcare services in Telangana had collapsed under the present administration.

Harish Rao said recent incidents in Tandur and Bhadrachalam exposed the worsening condition of the state’s public healthcare system.

According to him, a poor pregnant woman delivered a baby on a railway platform in Tandur. He alleged that 108 ambulance services failed to respond despite repeated calls.

He also referred to an incident in Bhadrachalam where a poor family allegedly carried the body of a relative on their shoulders. Harish Rao claimed hospital authorities failed to provide a hearse vehicle.

The former minister alleged that poor families were not receiving even basic emergency support during childbirth, illness and death.

Praja Palana criticism targets healthcare system

Harish Rao questioned what happened to the 108 ambulance services and hearse vehicle facilities introduced during the previous K. Chandrashekar Rao government.

He said the services were meant to support poor and vulnerable families during emergencies.

According to Harish Rao, the incidents reflected the suffering of poor people who depended entirely on government healthcare systems.

The BRS leader demanded immediate restoration and strengthening of ambulance and hearse vehicle services across Telangana.

He also sought accountability from the government over the alleged collapse of emergency healthcare services.

Harish Rao said people of Telangana deserved dignity during life, emergencies and even after death.
