Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao assumed charge as Telangana government advisor for BC Welfare at the Secretariat.
Leaders, supporters, and representatives from backward communities congratulated Hanumantha Rao after he formally took charge.
Several leaders described him as a strong voice for weaker sections. They also expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen welfare initiatives for backward communities.
Meanwhile, leaders said the government would consider his suggestions while implementing welfare programmes for weaker sections across Telangana.
BC Welfare advisor role to focus on weaker sections
Leaders said Hanumantha Rao had consistently worked for the protection of backward class rights and welfare.
They also expressed hope that his appointment would improve welfare measures and government outreach.
Meanwhile, representatives from backward communities said they would work together to strengthen welfare programmes in the State.
They further said collective efforts were necessary to protect the interests and rights of weaker sections across Telangana.
