H-NEW conducts anti-drug awareness programme for 1,200 students

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) conducted an Anti-drug awareness programme for around 1,200 students at RTC Kalabhavan in Old Nallakunta on July 29.

The programme educated students about the harmful effects of narcotic drug abuse. It explained how substance abuse can affect health, education and future career prospects.

H-NEW officials urged students to resist peer pressure. They also encouraged them to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

Officials said the initiative was designed to help young people make informed decisions. They added that awareness plays a key role in preventing substance abuse among youth.

Students, faculty members and H-NEW officials attended the event. They discussed the need for continued awareness campaigns to prevent drug abuse among young people.

H-NEW said the programme forms part of its ongoing efforts to build a Drug-Free Hyderabad. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to organising awareness initiatives to keep students away from narcotic drugs.
