Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma conveyed his warmest greetings for a happy and prosperous New Year 2026 to all Indians. He extended special wishes for the people of Telangana.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Governor expressed hope that 2026 would bring good health, prosperity, and fulfillment of aspirations for all. “I call upon everyone to commit to the vision of Viksit Bharat. This can be achieved by working towards a developed India through innovation, inclusive growth, and sustainable development,” he said.
Governor to meet citizens at Lok Bhavan on January 1
Governor Varma also urged citizens to continue their efforts against social challenges and poor health. He encouraged building a peaceful, just, inclusive, and sustainable society.
As part of the New Year celebrations, he will be available at Lok Bhavan on Thursday, January 1, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm to meet members of the public and civil society organisations for the exchange of greetings. During this period, Lok Bhavan will be open to all.
However, the public has been advised not to carry items such as handbags, carry bags, water bottles, cameras, or mobile phones. These must either be left in vehicles or deposited with security personnel at the venue.
